Your art file — the part that actually matters
This is custom-print. The cover is only as good as the file you send us. Here’s what we need from you, and yes, we know you’ve heard this from every print shop, but read it anyway because we cannot un-print her.
- Resolution at least 1,417 × 4,251 px (bigger is better — aim for 4,000+ px on the long edge)
- 120 DPI minimum, 300 DPI if you want to flex
- JPG format, CMYK color mode (sRGB also works, CMYK is just truer to print)
- Two files — one for the front, one for the back, separately uploaded
- Character’s legs spread out in the artwork (this is a 2-leg cover, after all — otherwise her ankles are going to be in places no character’s ankles should be)
- 5 MB+ recommended — if your file is too large, dropbox / drive / file.io us the link, we’ll pull it

Sleep with her for 100 nights. If the print’s off, the seam’s wrong, or she just isn’t what you imagined — full refund, no questions, no awkward “but why” emails. Discreet shipping both ways. We get it. We’ve been doing this since before custom-print dakimakura was a phrase you could Google without your IT department asking questions.
FAQ (the questions you almost emailed us at 1 AM)
Wait, this is custom-printed? You print whatever I send you?
Yes. You upload your art (front + back separately), we print it on the cover via dye-sublimation. SFW, NSFW, ecchi, original character, commissioned piece, AI-generated, screenshot from your favorite scene — if you’ve got the file and it meets the resolution requirements, we print it. We do not police your taste. We do not save your files past fulfillment. We are professionals.
What size dakimakura inner pillow does this cover fit?
Standard 59 × 19.7 in (150 × 50 cm) inner pillow. Compatible with most JP-licensed and Western-printed inserts at that size. If your existing inner is 63 in (160 cm), this cover will be loose — pick a 150 cm insert or upgrade to our 160 cm cover variant if you need it.
What’s the difference between the “with hole” and regular variants?
The regular 2-leg cover has the split-leg cut but no port — pure aesthetic. The “with hole” variant has an integrated, reinforced port between the legs sized for the included onahole (or a separately purchased one up to 7.9 in long × 4.3 in diameter / 20 × 11 cm). The hole is sewn cleanly, edges finished, doesn’t fray. Functional, not gimmicky.
Is the shipping really discreet? My situation is… complicated.
Yes. No brand name on the carton. No anime art, no descriptive text, no “ANIME PILLOW INSIDE” stamp. The carrier label shows the shipper only. Customs declaration says “textile / pillow cover” — nothing about the contents. Standard for every order, no extra fee. Your roommate / parents / partner / nephew at Christmas will be none the wiser. We are very, very good at this.
How big should my image file actually be?
Minimum 1,417 × 4,251 px at 120 DPI. Realistically? Aim for 4,000+ px on the long edge, 300 DPI if you have it. CMYK is ideal but we’ll convert sRGB. Front and back as separate files. If your file is too big to upload at checkout, send a Dropbox / Google Drive / Mega link to support@animedakimakurapillow.com. We pull it from there.
Can I see a proof before you print?
For custom orders, we review your file before pressing print. If the resolution is too low, the proportions are off, or the legs aren’t spread (which matters — this is a 2-leg cover, the cut follows the character), we’ll email you before locking in. We do not print blindly. Lessons have been learned, mostly the hard way.
Will the print fade after washing?
Dye-sublimation is heat-bonded into the fiber, not printed on top of it. Wash cold, gentle cycle, hang dry — the colors hold for years of normal use. What kills prints is hot water, hot dryers, and bleach. Don’t do that to her. The care card included says it nicer than we just did.
What about the onahole / oppai combo — quality?
The included onahole is a TPE soft-touch unit, 5.9 in (15 cm) long × 2.0 in (5 cm) diameter, sealed inner sleeve, washable. The C-cup silicone insert is medical-grade, soft-fill, non-toxic. Both are sourced from the same suppliers we’ve used for years — not the $8 mystery-meat versions you find on questionable websites. Cleaning instructions included.
How long until she arrives?
Custom production: 1–2 days. Standard worldwide shipping: 7–14 days. Express: 5–7 days. Free shipping on orders over $99 to most countries (excludes some Middle East, parts of Asia, Eastern Europe, South America, Africa, remote islands — we’ll flag at checkout). Tracking included on every order.
What if I hate it?
100 days, full refund, no questions asked. Custom-printed covers are still covered — if the print is wrong, the seam’s off, the size is unexpected, or you just changed your mind, send her back. A 15% cancellation fee applies only if you cancel before the order ships (because we’ve already started printing). After she ships, the 100-day window kicks in. We won’t ask why you changed your mind. We won’t ask anything.
Bulk discount for ordering multiple covers?
Yes. 5–10% off when you order 2+ covers in a single order — common for collectors building out a rotation, couples ordering matched sets, or one-time gifts for friend groups. Email us with the SKUs and we’ll quote the discount before checkout. Save your money for more covers. Or snacks. We’re not your accountant.
Can I order with the SFW front and the spicy back? Or is that weird?
Not weird. Extremely common. Front for the bookshelf / when your mom visits, back for everything else. Two separate files at upload, two separate prints. The cover does both. We respect the strategy. We’ve seen worse plans.
